Characteristics :

• Detects acute and subacute leptospirosis

• Negative results in case of chronicity or vaccination

• More sensitive than MAT (Micro-Agglutination Test) to determine early stage infections

• Performances comparable to those of ELISA IgM techniques (Vet. Microbiol. Vol. 150,

Issues 1-2, May 2011: 211-213)

• Immediate result (5-10 minutes)

• Sample: only 5μl of serum or 10μl of whole blood

• No additional hardware required

• Storage at room temperature
